Lions 28th All Star Soccer Classic
The International Association of Lions Clubs from Lehigh and Northampton are proud to announce the preparations for the 28th Annual All Star Soccer Classic. This year’s event will be held on Sunday, May 31 at the Nazareth Area High School’s Andrew Leh Stadium. Parking is available behind the high school. The game for HS Girls will begin at 3:30 P.M. and the game for HS Boys will begin at 6 P.M. This year’s games will feature the Mountain Valley Conference and Colonial League opposing members of the Lehigh Valley Conference. General admission is $5.00, and Students and Senior Citizens are $3.00. Children 13 and under accompanied by an adult will be admitted free and may register to win a week at a soccer camp. Raffles for a game ball and other prizes will be held at each game. The concession stand will be opened.

2009 SportsFest
The registration deadline for SportsFest is Friday, July 3, 2009. Games will be held on Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19 at Union Terrace Park Fields and Haines Mill Park Fields.

“Kick’n It For A Cure”
The Quakertown Soccer Club will host the Second Annual Sarah Parvin Memorial SoccerFest “Kick’n It For A Cure” on August 1 & 2. This will be a 24-hour 6v6 soccer event. All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society in memory of Sarah Parvin, a former QSC player who lost her battle with cancer at the age of 12. Both youth and adult divisions are available.

Summer League Teams Forming
Teams are being formed for the Lehigh Valley Summer Soccer League (LVSSL). If you are interested in playing, please email Meg at mbull@lvwsoccer.com and we will do our best to get you on a team. Pocono Snow Women Slate Tryouts for May 9 & 10
The Pocono Snow, Northeastern Pennsylvania’s Minor League Soccer Team, has announced the formation of a women's team that will play in the MSSL. They have slated the opening round of tryouts for Saturday, May 9 at 1:00 PM and Sunday, May 10 at 1:00 PM. The tryouts will be held at the Mary Street Fields, on the campus of East Stroudsburg University. Those qualifying for the next round will be tried out on May 16 & May 17 at 1 PM.. The cost of the tryout is $25 and those trying out get a Snow T-shirt. These tryouts are open to any age player. The team will be playing in the MSSL, a regional league with teams ranging from the Jersey Shore to Long Island.
